My ROM

As most of you would have know from my Facebook pics, I had a fantastic ROM on the once-in-the-lifetime auspicious date, 08.08.08, Friday, on the Hippo Cruise.

It was an unforgettable and spectacular day. Both Gary and I enjoyed it tremendously and so did all the guests, who mostly had to take leave to grace our occasion. Thank you very very much! I guess from their faces, sacrificing 1 day of their leave was the last thing on their mind!

Into My New Phase of Life

It's been almost 2 months into my new life.

Have been missing in action - busy adjusting to my new life.

I used to think that my new life would allow me to do the things that I have always wanted to - Watch DVDs, bake my favourite pastries, spend an afternoon shopping or meeting up with frens for afternoon tea. 

But I realised that all these thoughts were just too ambitious for the time I have. 

Life now is certainly not as idyllic as I had expected. 

 

Nevertheless, life now is definitely more fulling and accomplished than before. At least, I am able to spend more quality time with my loved ones.

The fact that the usual bouts of flu that I used to get every 2-3 months are now gone goes to show that I had been working too hard for the past 2 years. Poor me...

Phew! At least I have freed myself from that vicious cycle!

Congrats to myself - I love my life now! 

  

V-Day 2008

V-day Dinner this year was as usual - alfresco dining admist the greenery and breeze. Simple yet exciting & romantic to the max!

It was a really enjoyable dinner by the nature and we look forward to the next one again!

V-Day Eve 2008

Anticipating an over-time schedule on V-day, Gary drove over on the night of V-day eve to leave the car at my place so as to faciliate our V-day programme even he had to work late.
I got him his all-time favourite Adidas Dri-fit Tee for V-day this year. Thinking that it would be a good idea for him to wear it to work on V-day, I presented it to him when he arrived.

In return, I got a huge rose (middle in the pic), and together with the 4 flowers previously from him, marked our 5th V-day celebration the next day.

Beatrice and I reunites

Met up with Beatrice for lunch at Ichiban Boshi today. It was great to see this pri-sch- good-buddy again and updating each other on our current life. The last time i bumped into her was Dec 2006 at United Sq Swensen's. She is currently working at P & G now and I was most stunned upon learning that she had managed to land in this job only after 11 rounds of interview, comprising of written tests, oral interviews and assessed OJTs. Wow! What a feat man! Well after all, she's our Pri Sch Top student and a Super-high flyer since then. Yeah so proud to have such an outstanding friend yah =) Looking forward to our convent girls gathering on 17 Feb. Till then...

My 25th Birthday

Gary and I took leave to celebrate my bday today. Guess what he got for me for my bday present?

This pic was taken at Sentosa Cove after watching Alvin & the Chipmunks at Vivocity.

We proceeded to Silver Shell Cafe at Rasa Sentosa Resort for dinner. Food was just so-so but it was spiced up with a pleasant surprise by the restaurant manager who presented a slice of cheesecake as well as a live band who played the Birthday Song and several other tunes which added that perfect touch to the ambience and occasion.



The special day ended with a walk by the Siloso Beach. Simply lovely!

My Birthday Celebration

It was a great celebration at Maplewoods last Saturday on 5th Jan. My uncle had booked the bbq pits and the function room but as it was drizzling slightly, most of the time we were in the function room. Pics to share...
